In Kona, the ship ferried passengers to shore on tenders...about 60 passengers per trip. My sister Gyongyi picked us up at the dock around 9:00 am. As we left the pier, a lady offered us a historic tour. Gyongyi said "I am the tour guide" and off we went to Kona town.

A good time was had by all. We, of course had to have an espresso immediately upon landing, and then a trip to Costco was squeezed in where we joined the masses outside for a food break. (There weren't too many "samples" in the store today to nosh .) I did get a couple of items and reloaded a gift card I use to shop there. I never go to Costco unless Steve is on the island...then he makes me go there. I walked over 10,000 steps today!

Wow, loads of great pictures! And we are feeling the weather you pictured for the North Pacific in a very early post.
